Camping and Whitewater Rafting on Goodwin Canyon
Three campgrounds exist within Stanislaus River Park and offer a unique camping experience for groups or individuals. Access is by boat, foot, or bicycle only.

  • McHenry Avenue Recreation
Whitewater Rafting on Goodwin Canyon All areas provide picnic tables, restrooms, garbage cans and fire pits. Drinking water is available only at the McHenry Avenue Recreation Area. Camping is by permit only and reservations are recommended. For more information visit the US Army Corp of Engineers Website.

Private Campgrounds
There is one private campground located in Knights Ferry. Knights Ferry is a popular tourist area so call ahead for camping reservations.
