Shuttle Directions for Whitewater Rafting on Goodwin Canyon

The Shuttle to run the lower Stanislaus only takes about 15 minutes, considering the rafting trip is only 4 miles long. (some commercial rafting companies will run the stretch twice in a day).

To get to take-out, drive east on highway 120 from Oakdale. About 11 miles east of Oakdale turn north to Knights Ferry. Follow the signs to Stanislaus River Park Ranger station. There is a parking lot on the left just before the bridge which is designated for whitewater rafters.

To reach put-in get back onto highway 108/120 and head east. Travel about 4 miles and turn left onto Tulloch road towards Goodwin Dam. There is limited parking along side the dirt road at put-in so try and only bring one vehicle. Put-in past the gate on river left about 0.5 mile downstream from the dam. This is Army Corp of Engineers property. Gear must be carried from the gate down to the river.
